"Preserving Our Heritage Festival"

The Burlington Checker Club will participate in the Alamance Co. Cedarock Park - "Preserving Our Heritage Festival" Saturday, August 28th, 2010 9am - 5pm The annual festival will feature demonstrations of turn-of-the-century skills that were typical on a farm of that era including butter churning, soap making, quilting & more. Antique tractors, Auto, & "hit & miss" engines will be on display. Old-time children's games including checkers, sack races & egg toss. Concessions available. Live music all day featuring Buttermilk Creek, playing bluegrass and gospel. Come out & enjoy this fun, family-friendly event. Yes, Checkers and Beekeeping will be there!

The crown jewel of the Alamance County Recreation and Parks Department,
